Will You Level A Pandaren?

Windows 2000 won't work soon.

This probably won’t affect many of you but it’s worth noting. Time to upgrade your OS if you’re on Windows 2000 because it is no longer supported for WoW as Blizzard prepare everyone well in advance of the MoP release.

Blizzard Quote:

In preparation for the upcoming release of Mists of Pandaria, updates to World of Warcraft will no longer support Microsoft Windows 2000. Microsoft ceased support for this version of their operating system in 2010. Players still using Windows 2000 are encouraged to upgrade prior to the release of Mists of Pandaria.

BLIZZARD STORE SALE

If you thought $50 for the entirety of World of Warcraft during GameStop's Black Friday sale was good, Blizzard is about to do you one better. From now until Dec. 19, the entirety of World of Warcraft is on sale for a grand total of $35 on the Blizzard store. In addition, the Celestial Steed and the Pandaren Monk pet are on sale, too. This is how the prices break down: * WoW: Battle Chest for $5 (reg. $19.99) * Wrath of the Lich King for $10 (reg. $39.99) * Cataclysm for $20 (reg. $39.99) * Celestial Steed for $10 (reg. $25) * Pandaren Monk for $5 (reg. $10) If you planned on pulling any friends into Azeroth this holiday season, there really is no better time to do it. If you don't want to go all-in, you can introduce friends and family to the base game for just $5 -- and if you want to dangle a carrot on the end of that stick, buy them a Celestial Steed to work toward. A $15 dollar investment, all told. Also? You should totally tell them about WoW Insider. A little birdie told me that due to popular demand, we're currently revamping our leveling guides. Talk about timing.

Blizzard announced the new expansion to be released, the Mists of Pandaria! The whole idea sounds SO awesome. There will be a new race, the Pandaren, that’s right! We can be PANDAS! The new Pandaren race will be available to both Horde and Alliance. Also there will be a new Monk class available to the Pandaren, Draenei, Dwarf, Gnome, Human, Night Elf, Blood Elf, Orc, Tauren, Troll, and the Forsaken. Monks can be tanks, damage, as well as healers. Monks will be able to wear Cloth and Leather. Monks will be able to wield Fist Weapons, One-Handed Axes, One-Handed Maces, One-Handed Swords, Polearms, and Staves. Blizzard announced at Blizzcon that Pandaria will be on the back of a very large old turtle, that actually swims and moves! VERY cool!

Transmogrification

With the addition of Patch 4.3 comes Transmogrification. Transmogrification is taking your gear and making it look like completely different gear. If you’ve always wanted to wear that cool helmet or use a cool weapon, well now you can! To transmogrifiy, ask a city guard where they are. Right click on the Transmogrifier, and simply right click the item that you want to look like. Then pay a relatively small fee and voila! you’ve been transmogrified. There’s an enormous amount of possibilities for combinations. So find what fits you. I am very happy with this feature and I will be using it often.
