Terms and abbreviations frequently used in World of Warcraft and on our blog.
AFK – Away From Keyboard.
ATM – At the Moment.
BRB – Be Right Back.
BRT – Be Right There.
BTW – By The Way.
FYI – For Your Information.
FTL – For the Loss.
FTW – For the Win, say this when something is super cool.
GG – Good Game.
GJ – Good Job.
GL – Good Luck.
H/O – Hold on.
IDC – I don’t care.
IDK – I don’t know.
IMO – In My Opinion.
IRL – In Real Life.
LMAO – Laughing My (butt) Off.
LMK – Let Me Know.
LOL – Laughing Out Loud.
NPC – Non-player character.
NTY – No thank you.
OIC – Oh, I See.
OMG – Oh my gosh.
OMW – On My Way.
PvE – Player versus Environment.
PvP – Player versus Player.
ROFL – Rolling on Floor Laughing.
RP – Role Play.
RPPvP – Role Play Player versus Player.
Troll/Trolling – Someone who disrupts, annoys, or causes arguments. You can find lots of trolls in Trade Chat in World of Warcraft.
TY – Thank You.
WB – Welcome Back.
WTH – What The Heck/Hell.
Newb – A new player.
Noob – Usually used as an insult even high level players can be noobs. Noobs usually act stupid in some way.
